FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EXPLORE THE LABYRINTH OF RECOLLECTION
Author-World Traveler Probes the Mysteries of Memory
Mabalacat City, Pampanga, Philippines. 5 October, 2019. "What is a thing which is not expressed?" Ageing, death, art and lived life. Love, loss, warfare, nature and transcendence, the act of making meaning: writing makes these things more real, as we push against the ephemeral nature of existence. Arcade of Memory’s essays, poetry and short stories draw from author Howard Giskin’s experiences traveling the world, meeting fascinating people, and reveling in the mystery of being alive.

Howard Giskin’s Arcade of Memory gathers essays, poems, and short stories around the themes of time, beauty in nature, and transcendence, through personal memory. Brief essays introduce the reader to the collection’s major themes, followed by groups of five-stanza poems in the style of Japanese tanka, which delight in the beauty of everyday life. Eight short stories conclude the final section of the book, masterfully weaving tales of characters’ hopes, dreams, desires and regrets.

"Arcade of Memory is an in-depth literary collection in which beautiful places and thoughtful personalities, past and present, are engaged."
- 5/5 Star Foreword Clarion Review
